Show closings

There are three shows closing Wednesday, December 22.
Trinity Valley Shetland Sheepdog Club plays host to a doubleheader on Friday, January 7 at the Sumerville County Expo Center in Glen Rose, Texas. The judges are Sam Folsom (Breed) and Nancy Simmons (Breed and Obedience).

Also on January 7, The Lochland Shetland Sheepdog Club Specialty takes place at the River Centre in St. Paul, Minnesota. The judges are Neena Van Camp (Breed) and Amy Gau (Sweeps).

Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater San Diego
This past Saturday, the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater San Diego held back-to-back specialties. At the morning specialty, judge Sandy Cambridge chose the 6-9 puppy dog, Karosel Just Push Play as her Best of Breed, Winners Dog and Best of Winners. This puppy is sired by CH Sea Haven Squeeze Play out of CH Karosel Natalia. He was bred by Robin McTaggart and Jennifer McFarlin and is owned by his breeders and Tamara Dance.

Then in the afternoon, judge Sandy Staffan chose the new CH, Sea Haven's Mochaccino as her Best of Breed. This sable bitch is sired by CH Grandgable's Let's Show Off out of CH Sea Haven Hurricane KD. She was bred by Scott Zamvil and Yvonne Samuelson and is owned by Yvonne Samuelson.

Today in Pennsylvania the Interstate Shetland Sheepdog Club played host to back-to-back specialties. At the morning specialty, judge Debra Nordby awarded Best of Breed to CH Playland Sweet Home Alabama. This sable and white bitch is sired by CH Kylene Eden The Dragonslayer out of CH Playland In Time Will Tell. She was bred by Kathy Dziegel, Cindy Bayes and Lenore Patrick. There are four shows closing Wednesday, June 30. They will all take place at Timber Linn Park in Albany, Oregon, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, July 16 - 19. Pacific Northwest Shetland Sheepdog Club (view ad) plays host Friday and Saturday, July 16 and 17. Friday's judges are Judith Kelsey (Breed and Junior Showmanship), Carl Lentz (Obedience) and Lyn Leininger (Sweeps). Show closings

There are ten shows closing on Wednesday, January 27
, Central Indiana Shetland Sheepdog Club (view ad) plays host Friday and Saturday, February 12 and 13 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. Friday's judges are Joyce Van Kirk (Breed) and Jamie Hubbard (Sweeps). Saturday's judges are Dianne Hawes (Breed) and Lori Wilson (Sweeps). The shows will be held in conjunction with the Indy Winter Classic.

Four shows will take place at the Dude Ranch Pet Resort in Glen Allen, Virginia, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 12 - 14. Friday's show is hosted by Shetland Sheepdog Club of Tidewater with judges Thomas Coen (Breed, Jr. Show) and Billie (Kneale) Kellogg (Sweeps). Two shows take place on Saturday. Central Virginia Shetland Sheepdog Club (view ad) plays host for one of those shows with judge Ellen Worthington (Breed, Jr. Show). SSC of Tidewater returns as the host of the other Saturday show with judge Nioma Coen (Breed, Jr. Show). Both Saturday shows have an entry limit of 100. Central Virginia SSC resumes hosting duties on Sunday with judges Rick Thompson (Breed, Jr. Show) and Patti Jackson (Sweeps).

Canyon RV Park in Anaheim, California, is the showsite for the Santiago Shetland Sheepdog Club specialties on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13 and 14. Saturday's judges are Dr. H. Kellogg (Breed, Jr. Show) and Hector Hector (Sweeps). Sunday's judges are Katie Gammill (Breed, Jr. Show) and Meredith Hector (Sweeps).

Also taking place on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13 and 14, are the Alamo Area Shetland Sheepdog Club specialties at Guadalupe County Fair Association in Seguin, Texas. Saturday's judges are Brenda Miramon (Breed), Sue Adolph (Sweeps) and P.N. Gannon (Obedience). Sunday's judges are Joe Molloy (Breed), Paula Hoover (Sweeps) and F.D. Harding (Obedience).
