In Memorial -- Kathy Dziegiel, Kylene
The Sheltie world mourns the passing yesterday of Kylene's Kathy Dziegiel. Granite State Shetland Sheepdog Club Secretary Cynthia Webster sent word to club members:

"This sad news has begun to spread throughout the Sheltie community.  Kathy Dziegiel, a past member of Granite State Shetland Sheepdog Club and a friend and mentor to many of us, succumbed to an overwhelming infection this afternoon at a hospital in Florida. Kathy has been battling an auto-immune disorder for some time, and the medications she was on plus the disorder itself combined to make her recovery difficult at best, and ultimately the infection was too much for her body to fight.  She was on life support and her sister made the decision to let her go peacefully."
